Sunvim Motor
Engineered for extreme performance and unyielding dependability in the highly demanding climate and environments of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
As the economic epicenter of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh is witnessing an unparalleled industrial and urban metamorphism. Backed by the transformative vision of Saudi Vision 2030, the city is shifting away from fossil-fuel reliance towards a highly digitized, energy-efficient, and sustainable industrial grid. Within this landscape, energy conservation in large-scale rotating equipment is not merely a competitive edge—it is a critical regulatory and operational imperative.
Traditional induction motors, which have historically powered Riyadh's vast municipal water infrastructure, chemical complexes, and heavy construction systems, represent a massive energy sink. The transition to the FP Series Permanent Magnet (PM) Motors addresses this exact engineering gap. Operating under extremely hot ambient climates where temperatures routinely exceed 50°C, these specialized motors deliver premium efficiency (exceeding IE4 and IE5 standards), ensuring minimal power losses and unmatched reliability.
Designing and deploying electric motors for the Middle East, particularly the central Najd region surrounding Riyadh, requires resolving unique mechanical and electromagnetic hurdles. The foremost challenge is thermal degradation. Ambient air temperatures can peak at 55°C, resulting in severe insulation breakdown and accelerated magnetic demagnetization in standard PM motors.
Our FP Series PM Motors are built utilizing ultra-stable Neodymium Iron Boron (NdFeB) rare-earth magnets, featuring high intrinsic coercivity. This ensures that even under severe operating conditions and high thermal stress, the magnetic field remains fully stable. Coupled with Class H insulation systems and IP55 to IP66 terminal enclosure protection, our motor systems are explicitly customized to counter Riyadh's fine-dust atmospheres and blistering heatwaves.
Traditional induction motors generate a rotor magnetic field via induced currents, which naturally yields considerable I²R rotor copper losses. In contrast, the FP Series utilizes permanent magnets located inside or on the surface of the rotor structure, creating a synchronous magnetic field without the need for slip rings, excitation coils, or induced rotor currents. This eliminates rotor electrical resistance losses completely.
For large-scale infrastructure systems in Riyadh, such as District Cooling plants or Agricultural Irrigation pumps, this technology translates to an immediate reduction in total power consumption by 8% to 15% compared to IE3 induction motors. At continuous 24/7 runtimes, this drop in active power consumption dramatically lowers the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and drastically curbs localized carbon emissions.

Decades of industrial evolution, continuous growth, and technological excellence
Gaomi Electric Appliance Factory was officially established. Later, in 1988, the company was renamed Weifang Electric Machinery Factory, shifting focus to high-efficiency industrial motors.
Mr. Sun, then the visionary director, laid the foundational groundwork that would lead to the establishment of the massive Gaomi Towel Factory, the predecessor of today’s multi-billion RMB Sunvim Group.
Weifang Electric Machinery Factory was formally acquired by the Sunvim Group, leading to the creation of Shandong Sunvim Electrical Machinery Co., Ltd.
Our brand-new, ultra-modern facility was successfully completed in the Sunvim Industrial Park and legally renamed Shandong Sunvim Motor Co., Ltd., focusing on premium green motor lines.
Our industrial motors adhere to the most rigorous international and regional quality, safety, and efficiency frameworks, streamlining approvals across Saudi Arabia.
