Gaomi Electric Appliance Factory was established, laying the foundation for our electric motor manufacturing expertise. In 1988, the company was renamed Weifang Electric Machinery Factory.
Mr. Sun, then the factory director, left Gaomi Electric Appliance Factory and set up Gaomi Towel Factory, which would grow to become the predecessor of the multi-billion RMB Sunvim Group.

Yes, all our MV/HV motors can be customized for VFD operation. To protect the motor from high-frequency voltage spikes (dV/dt) and shaft currents common in VFD systems, we equip VFD-fed motors with reinforced corona-resistant insulation, insulated bearings on the non-drive end, and grounding brushes. This ensures stable operation across the entire speed range and prevents premature bearing failure.
Our marine-duty three-phase induction motors (Y-H series) are fully certified by major international maritime classification societies, including the China Classification Society (CCS), American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), and Det Norske Veritas (DNV).
